It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I welcome everyone to the 2016-2017 school year!

As your new superintendent, I am honored and humbled to serve as your system leader. As we embark upon our new journey together, please do understand that we take great pride in the privilege afforded us to provide a quality education for each child. It is our hope that through an organized approach, we can ensure a safe and orderly environment in which each student may learn and grow.

Our focus at Daleville City School System continues to be derived from our five school board goals as indicated in our system’s strategic plan:

1.      Safe and Supportive Environments for Learning and Work.

The school system will maintain facilities, services, and programs that provide safe, clean and healthy environments to support learning for all students and quality work performances for all employees.

2.      An Intense Focus on Student Achievement and Discipline.

A unified model for curriculum, instruction, assessment, and discipline will be developed in order to ensure student achievement across all grades, in all courses, and for all students.

3.      A High Performing and Dedicated Team.

The school system will implement best practices for the recruitment, employment, support, and retention of a highly qualified and effective team of instructional employees.

4.      Family Engagement and an Invested Community.

The School System will engage families and the community to support student learning

5.      Efficient Operations, Resources, and Technology.

Efficient processes, operations, resources, and technology will support the purpose and direction of the school system.

I would like to take this time to sincerely thank the Daleville City Schools Board of Education, administration, faculty, support staff, families, and community partners for their efforts rendered on behalf of our students.

Dr.  Diane C. Flournoy

Superintendent
