Superintendent's Corner
Mr. Joshua Robertson
I would like to welcome you to the Daleville City School System, located in Dale County (south-east Alabama) in the Wiregrass region. Our school has about 1100 students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grades. We have about 130 faculty and staff. Daleville City Schools have a rich tradition of academic and athletic excellence.
We want our schools to be safe and exciting places to learn and work. We want students to have experiences that will make them successful today and that will build a foundation to help them succeed later in college as well as in their careers. We want to be a family who strives to grow together to meet our goal of making a positive influence on the lives of our students. I am looking forward to working with the faculty and staff to set high standards and rise for excellence.
When you visit our schools, my desire is that you will see the caring, dedication of our faculty and staff. We want to showcase our students who will be future doctors, teachers, artists, musicians, politicians, lawyers, mechanics, and parents. Our goal is to support them as they prepare to carry out important roles in our society. We want our students to be critical and creative thinkers and problem solvers.
My vision for this year as always is to put students’ needs first and provide the best education for DCS students as is possible. I want to thank our Board members for sharing my vision of building quality programs and enriching students’ learning. As we begin this school year, I want our parents and community to know that we will work hard to improve and enhance all areas of our schools. I am eager to get to know the Daleville community. I encourage you to participate in and support our schools.
Again, welcome to the Daleville City Schools, Home of the Warhawks.
